001 / About
A small, senior-led software studio.
Kernyard was founded by James, a UK software engineer with more than ten years of experience building software projects. The studio builds its own products, develops websites and web applications, and takes on selected bespoke software work.
002 / How we work
Direct communication with the person building the software.
Kernyard is deliberately small. Clients work with the same person who designs and builds the software — not a large delivery chain. That keeps decisions clear, scoping careful, and complexity where it earns its place.
Experience across software engineering, technical leadership and production systems informs the work. Prior employer projects are not presented as Kernyard client work.

003 / What we do

004 / How we think
A short list we actually hold to.
- Useful over flashy
- Software should solve something.
- Simple over clever
- Complexity should earn its place.
- Built to last
- Good foundations make future changes cheaper.
- Own the outcome
- We care about what happens after launch.
005 / Have something worth building?
Let’s work out what it should become.
